A major milestone in the journey to accessible air mobility has taken flight.

AIR is proud to announce a strategic partnership with EDAG Group, one of the world’s most respected independent engineering firms, to manufacture the main aircraft structure for our production AIR ONE models. This collaboration represents a pivotal moment for AIR as we ramp up assembly and move toward commercial deliveries of both our manned and unmanned eVTOL variants.

The Future Takes Shape

EDAG has already delivered the first production frames to AIR’s facilities, enabling full-scale assembly of AIR ONE. The advanced new structure supports a suite of key upgrades, including:

  • Folding wing and motor arms for streamlined storage and transport

  • Expanded cabin space for greater passenger comfort

  • Modular design for dual-use functionality: manned personal flight and unmanned cargo logistics

  • 70 cubic feet of cargo capacity, enabling transport of everything from stretchers to pallets

Crafted primarily from lightweight aluminum, this frame offers the ideal balance of strength and performance, designed to meet the diverse demands of both private pilots and enterprise customers.

Bringing Automotive Efficiency to eVTOL Manufacturing

"Partnering with an industry trailblazer like EDAG, who has worked with some of the world's most recognizable brands, is a testament to our vision of bringing the automotive world into aviation,” said Rani Plaut, CEO and co-founder of AIR. “With EDAG’s expertise in vehicle design and production, we’re enabling efficient, scalable manufacturing to meet growing demand for accessible air transportation.”

EDAG brings decades of experience in developing high-performance mobility platforms. Their involvement ensures that AIR ONE benefits from proven processes in quality control, repeatability, and precision engineering, crucial for scaling advanced air mobility technologies.

“Collaborating with AIR on the AIR ONE is a significant step in our expansion into the eVTOL space,” said Harald Keller, CEO at EDAG. “The AIR ONE's innovative frame is a prime example of our commitment to scalable, high-performance design."

Full Speed Ahead

This partnership comes on the heels of a landmark year for AIR. We’ve:

  • Doubled our team size

  • Expanded into unmanned logistics with our cargo variant

  • Built substantial flight test hours across multiple prototypes

  • Secured over 2,400 preorders for the piloted AIR ONE

  • Delivered our first cargo prototype unit ahead of schedule

With final certification and first deliveries of AIR ONE on the horizon, this new production capability ensures we’re ready to meet demand from personal aviation enthusiasts and enterprise logistics operators alike.

AIR’s vision of everyday flight is no longer just an idea: It’s in production.

Stay tuned. The future of flight is getting closer every day.oking to move people or payloads, day or night, AIR is ready to take you there.
